NEO

NEO is 1X Technologies' consumer-ready home humanoid robot. It is a soft-bodied, tendon-driven robot built to automate everyday chores and offer conversational help in the home. Standing 170 cm tall and weighing approximately 30 kg, NEO is designed to be human-safe with a soft 3D-lattice polymer body, pinch-proof joints, and low-inertia tendon drives. The robot features 75 total degrees of freedom, including 22 DoF per hand (44 total across both hands), giving it exceptional dexterity. NEO can lift up to 70 kg and carry 25 kg, with top running speed of 6.2 m/s and typical walking at 1.4 m/s. Battery life is approximately 4 hours with quick-charge capability (6 minutes charge per hour of runtime). NEO is powered by the 1X NEO Cortex (NVIDIA Jetson Thor) and features a built-in large language model plus Redwood AI vision-language model for learning and task execution. Interaction is fully voice-first with audio intelligence, visual intelligence, and memory features. A companion app allows schedule management, remote check-in, and VR/mobile teleoperation. Pre-orders are open with Early Access deliveries planned for 2026 (US first) at $20,000 with a $499/month subscription option. Colors include Tan, Gray, and Dark Brown. NEO's predecessor, the NEO Beta (unveiled in 2023), was 165 cm tall, 30 kg, with a 20 kg payload and 2-4 hour runtime. The final NEO design improves significantly on all metrics.
